Our school has participated in Seed Project in collaboration with the English Language Section of the Education Bureau. This project aims at providing an impetus for a school-based curriculum development and to enrich reading and learning materials for our students in Key Stage 2.
To further enhance our teachers’ profession, the English department organises teacher workshops every year. In accordance with the Seed Project, our teachers joined two training workshops conducted by the Education Bureau. The first workshop was about reading across the curriculum. Previous seed schools generously shared their successful experiences which were valuable examples for our coming tryouts. The second workshop focused on teaching strategies on improving students’ literacy skills and the learning-teaching-assessment cycle. With the help of the hands-on activities and thought-provoking discussions, all of our teachers found the workshop inspiring and fruitful.
